Woman's Club's Yankee Doodle Fair Returns In Westport

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The Yankee Doodle Fair returns June 16-19 to the Westport Woman’s Club from Thursday, June 16, from 6-10 p.m. and continues Friday from 6-10 p.m., Saturday, from 1-10 p.m. and Sunday from 1-5 p.m.

The Yankee Doodle Fair features carnival rides and games from Stewart Amusements. 

Admission to the fair is free. Pay one price for unlimited-rides. Wristbands can be purchased for each day of the fair including Friday and Saturday nights.

The event will be held rain or shine. The rides and fair will only close in severe weather. 

There will be New Canaan Psychic Fortune Telling and Face Painting where kids of all ages can choose fun or “fierce” designs. There also will be sand art.

The Suzuki School of Music Concert performs Saturday at 3 p.m. inside Bedford Hall. 

There will be a bake sale as well as a raffle and drawing.

The raffle grand prize is 2 Round-Trip JetBlue tickets to Seattle, Washington (or anywhere JetBlue flies); second prize: Eight tickets redeemable at Westport Country Playhouse; and third prize: $300 gift certificate redeemable at Silver Ribbon. 

There are also many more gifts and prizes on-view on the upper level lot. 

Raffle winning tickets will be selected Sunday, Father’s Day at 5 p.m., Take-A-Chance Winner Drawing is also Father’s Day at 4 p.m.

This year’s International Food Court features Indian specialties from Mumbai Times and Los Molcajetes returns with Mexican fare.

All Fair proceeds support local charities and need-based scholarships for Staples High School students. No dogs are permitted on the grounds during the Fair. 

The Westport Woman’s Club, organized in 1907, is a nonprofit philanthropic organization whose members volunteer and raise funds in support of the educational, charitable, cultural and public health services in Westport and surrounding towns.
