Commission For Senior Services In Westport Schedules Annual Meeting

WESTPORT, Conn. -- The town's Commission for Senior Services will hold its 21st annual meeting on Friday, June 17, at 10 a.m., at the Center for Senior Activities, 21 Imperial Ave. in Westport.

The public is encouraged to attend and light refreshments will be served.

“The agenda for this year’s meeting will highlight the current projects of the Commission for Senior Services and the Town of Westport that affect senior residents," Westport Human Services Director Barbara Butler said.

These topics include the Center for Senior Activities’ Enhancement Project, transportation programs and legislative news from state representatives.

In addition, Westport’s First Selectman Jim Marpe will present the annual honor for outstanding “Service to Older Adults” award to Martha Aasen for her many years of continuous service to Westport seniors.
