WESTPORT, Conn. -- The minute Thanksgiving is over it's time to think Christmas. Which is where the actress -- and Westport resident -- Melissa Joan Hart comes in.
Her new Lifetime movie, "A Very Merry Toy Store," which used Connecticut as its backdrop, airs Sunday, Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. Most scenes were shot in Bristol and New Britain (See previous Daily Voice story HERE .)
Hart plays Connie Forrester, a single mom who, along with Will DiNova (Mario Lopez), each run their own small, family-owned toy stores in Connecticut.
Similar to their families, the two have been business rivals for years, until both of their livelihoods fall into jeopardy when the big box toy store "Roy's Toys" has its grand opening right before Christmas.
In order to save their livelihood, Connie and Will band together to save the stores that have defined their families for generations, and in the process, might just find love in time for the holiday.
