West Milford Group Needs Volunteers To Harvest Crops For Food Pantries

WEST MILFORD, N.J. – Sustainable West Milford is searching for volunteers to aid in the harvesting of fresh produce at Apple Acres Farm at 6 p.m. Friday.

Plans are to bring the produce harvested to the four local pantries in the area -- Queen of Peace, Holy Faith, St. Joseph’s and West Milford Presbyterian Church.

The organization holds harvesting events every Friday from June to October and accepts donations from local farmers.

To donate, can drop off the food on Fridays at Apple Acres no later than 6 p.m. or at the West Milford Farmers Market on Wednesdays no later than 6:30 p.m.
