Photographers Invited To Submit Images For Juried Fairfield Museum Exhibit

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- The Fairfiield Musician & History Center is accepting submissions for its ninth annual IMAGES 2017 Juried Photography Show.

The photography show provides an opportunity for artists to connect with prominent collectors, gallery owners, fellow photographers and the public, according to a release from the Fairfield Museum.

The museum invites professional, serious amateur, and student photographers from Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island and Massachusetts to participate.

Submissions will be accepted through Sunday, Feb. 5, at 11:59 p.m.  Click here to submit photographs.

A jury will select 50 photographs for exhibition in the IMAGES 2017 show, which will be on display at the Fairfield Museum from March 9 to April 30.

During the IMAGES 2017 show, a jury chooses one photographer from the Professional/Serious Amateur category and one from the Student category as the Grand Prize Winners.

The award for the Professional/Serious Amateur winner is a 10-day exhibition at Southport Galleries in Southport at a date to be determined by the gallery. The Student Grand Prize winner will receive a professional portfolio review with Dr. Philip I. Eliasoph, professor of art history at Fairfield University.

New this year, the Viewer's Choice photo winner will join the jury's selections at the IMAGES 2017 show at the Fairfield Museum.

IMAGES 2017's Featured Photographer is Joe Standart, an internationally known photographer, artist and director.
