Witkow is a lawyer, entrepreneur and consultant for small businesses, and for the past seven years has been helping job hunters find employment.

His approach to the job search is to develop a strategic plan and implement it just like any other business project. He helps his clients build their own personal brand and incorporate that brand into all of the elements of the search, from the development of an “elevator speech” to the creation of marketing materials.

During his talk he will address questions such as:

  • Will anybody consider a candidate over 50?
  • Few people get a response to online postings, so why bother?
  • Is the company just testing the market?

Witkow is a graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and UC-Hastings College of the Law, and served as general counsel of numerous technology companies as well as GE Capital’s international IT Solutions business.

The talk will be held at 7 p.m. on Dec. 1 in the library's McManus Room. For further information, call 203-291-4800, or click here.
