Maxine Bleiweis, retiring executive director of the Westport Library, and Sam Gault, president of Gault Energy, will be receiving the chamber’s annual awards, according to a press release.

“I could not think of more deserving people to get this award,” Matthew Mandell, executive director of the chamber, said in a press release. “They represent what is best in our town for their work ethic, generosity and how they approach business. They are a cross section -- nonprofit and traditional -- and embody what makes our communities prosper.”

The chamber also will honor five “Young Entrepreneurs.” They are Rebecca Marks and Michael Sitver, students at Weston High School, and Harry Epstein, Nick Massoud and Scott Percoriello, students at Staples High School in Westport.

“I am encouraged by the capital intellect, drive and passion that each of these young persons has demonstrated,” Jonathan Baron, chairman of the chamber’s board of directors, said in a press release. “I believe our future is very bright.”

Westport businessman Ron DeFeo, CEO of the Fortune 500 Terex Corp., will provide the keynote speech.

The gala will be from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at the Westport Inn.

Tickets are $75 each; tables for 10 are available.
