WESTPORT, Conn — College admissions expert Keith Berman will provide tips for teens on selecting and participating in extracurricular activities at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 17 in the Westport Library’s McManus Room.
Participants will learn how to get the most from participation in clubs, community service and more. Berman will provide examples and talk about how teens should focus on impact, rather than hours spent on activities.
The program, recommended for middle and high school students seeking extracurricular ideas, is free.
Berman is the president of Options for College. A graduate of Yale University, Bank Street College of Education and Harvard University, he created the Johns Hopkins University's CTY College Prep program in 2009. He has worked in the Yale and Harvard undergraduate admissions offices and has been a certified educational planner since 2006, as well as a teacher and guidance counselor.
