'Sylvia' Opens This Weekend At Darien Arts Center
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Arts Center Stage production of "Sylvia" opens this weekend in the DAC Weatherstone Studio at 8 p.m.
Jacquie Carlsen, David Jackins, and Giovanna Olcese of Norwalk and Susan Stanton of Westport bring the comedy to life under the direction of Christian Amato. Remaining performances are on Nov. 4, 10 and 11 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 5 and 11 at 2 p.m.

STAMFORD, Conn. — The holiday season is just around the corner — and so is the 24th annual Stamford Downtown Parade Spectacular, set to step off at noon on Sunday, Nov. 19.
One of the largest parades of its kind in the U.S., this year’s march will include 12 giant helium balloons floating down downtown streets for the enjoyment of more than 200,000 spectators.

'Hoot & Howl' At Darien Nature Center's Annual Halloween Event
DARIEN, Conn. -- The Darien Nature Center is celebrating Halloween in style with its annual Hoot n’ Howl party.
It will take place rain or shine on Sunday, Oct. 29 from 4 p.m. to 6 pm, with doors opening at 3:30 p.m for children with special needs and their families.
The event will feature hay rides, a magic show, s’mores and stories around a campfire, face painting, animal interactions, refreshments and more. Costumes are encouraged but not required.
