The company, which grew from a delivery service in 2011 to four stores today, will soon be adding a fifth in Westport later this spring.

Greenwich resident Jeffrey Pandolfino, who founded the company with his wife, Cai, said Westport is a perfect fit for the company. He said the town is similar to Greenwich, where he has two locations.

“We think the Westport market is tremendous,” Pandolfino said. “It’s probably the market in Fairfield County that best resembles Greenwich from a demographics standpoint."

While Westport doesn’t have a Green & Tonic yet, Pandolfino said Westporters have made the trip to locations in other towns.

“The people are wonderful,” Pandolfino said. “They’ve been tremendously supportive of our other stores so we’re super excited to get up there.”

The new store’s menu will be familiar to customers at other Green & Tonic locations. It will offer the same items along with a few additions that will debut in Westport, including on-tap cold-brew iced coffee.

Aside from adding new menu items, he is looking for new staff. “We’re in full-fledged hiring mode for Westport,” Pandolfino said, adding that he is looking to fill full- and part-time positions.

With locations in downtown Greenwich, Cos Cob, Darien and New Canaan, Green & Tonic offers an array of healthy juices, smoothies, sandwiches and salads.

While all of the foods are plant-based, Pandolfino said some items on the menu— such as the salads — pair well with animal proteins such as grilled fish.

Already four locations strong with a fifth on the way, Pandolfino said the company is always considering expansion possibilities and may open in other communities in the future.

“We are excited to potentially bring Green & Tonic to other markets soon,” Pandolfino adding that the company could add locations outside Connecticut.

News of the upcoming Westport store comes after the company closed a $1 million round in Series C funding. The company said the funds will primarily support its expansion plans as it prepares to construct its new location.

In total, the company has received nearly $3 million in funding. For more information on the company, visit its website here.
