ID Released For Motorist Killed In Route 22 Crash In Putnam An Ossining man has been identified as the person killed in a car crash on Route 22 in the Town of Patterson, according to Putnam County Sheriff Donald B. Smith Louis Arpi, 56, of Croton Street in Ossining, died as the result of trauma injuries he sustained in a head-on collision between the car he was driving and another vehicle. about 6:30 a.m. on Monday on Route 22 near the intersection of Thunder Ridge Road, said Capt. Bank Scam Suspect Nabbed After Police Chase Ends In Sprain Parkway Crash Two men wanted by for trying to get money from another person's bank account in Newburgh are behind bars after one ended up in the hospital Monday following a chase with Westchester County Police. Longtime Residents Of Town-Owned Properties Could Be Evicted In Ramapo ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- William Cuomo has lived in the same house on Lake Street for the past 35 years and is worried about where he will go now that the entire street has received eviction notices from the Town of Ramapo. Two More Charged In Spring Valley Undercover Drug Bust Two more people have been charged in a drug crackdown by the Rockland County Drug Task Force in Spring Valley following a five-month investigation into drug dealing in the town. As work continues on the new Tappan Zee Bridge, commuters, residents, and even school districts should get ready for a month of delays, detours and more as a large portion of River Road in South Nyack is closed to make room for the demolition of the existing Tappan Zee Bridge. Carmel Man Strikes Officers With Cane, Police Say A Carmel man was charged with menacing and harassment after hitting officers with his cane, according to the Carmel Police. David Berletic, 62, was recently arrested after officers responded to Putnam Hospital for a disorderly subject who fled into the woods nearby, police said. After officers located Berletic in the woods, he began swinging his cane at the officers and struck them with it, police added. Following his arrest, Berletic was released on his own recognizance pending a future court date.
