Swastikas Discovered At Two Locations In Ridgefield RIDGEFIELD, Conn. — Swastikas were found drawn on the outside of the Masonic Lodge and the Aldrich Museum in Ridgefield this week, according to the Ridgefield Press. A total of five swastikas were discovered — two at the Lodge and three at the Museum — and are believed to have been drawn by the same person, police told the Ridgefield Press. Wilton Man Accused Of Killing Black Bears Gets Probation WILTON, Conn. -- A Wilton man accused of killing two black bears in September was placed on a special probation that will see the charges dismissed if he does not commit a crime in the next two years, according to the Wilton Bulletin. Antonio Lio, 28, of Wilton had been arrested along with 34-year-old Daniel Moran of Wilton after Environmental Conservation Police said the pair had shot and killed two bears on Sept. 16. Norwalk Police Seek Suspect In Credit Card Theft NORWALK, Conn. -- Norwalk Police are seeking information on a person suspected of stealing credit cards and jewelry from a car parked at the Edge Fitness last eyar. The motor vehicle burglary took place at the Edge on Westport Avenue on January 6, 2017. Credit cards and jewelry were stolen from the car, and the credit cards were subsequently used in Bridgeport, police said. Detectives are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect. State Postpones $4.3B In Transportation Projects, Proposes Rail Fare Hike FAIRFIELD COUNTY, Conn. – The state Department of Transportation is indefinitely postponing hundreds of transportation projects totaling $4.3 billion until more revenue can be secured for the state's Special Transportation Fund, which is used to pay for repair projects and the operation of the DOT, Gov. Dannel P. Malloy announced Wednesday. The postponement of the projects is on top of a proposal to increase fares on train and bus services in the state. Newtown Homeowner Burned In Early Morning Fire NEWTOWN, Conn. — A Newtown homeowner suffered burns after a fire broke out in his home early Monday morning, according to the Connecticut Post. Homeless Man Charged With Breaking Windshield With Traffic Cone In Stamford STAMFORD, Conn. — Police arrested a homeless man in Stamford on Tuesday after an officer saw him break a car windshield, according to the Stamford Advocate. Darien High School Senior Receives DAR Good Citizen Award DARIEN, Conn. -- Darien High School senior Connor Henry was recently awarded the 2017 Good Citizen Award by Darien's Good Wife's River Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Henry received the award at a DAR holiday reception held at the Darien Historical Society. The award is given to a student who best exemplifies the qualities of patriotism, citizenship, dependability and service to the community. Norwalk Police Identify Two Men Killed In Head-On Crash On Route 1 NORWALK, Conn. -- Police have identified the two men killed in a head-on crash on Connecticut Avenue/Route 1 in Norwalk late Monday night.
