REDDING, Conn. -- School is rapidly approaching in Redding -- the first day is Aug. 31 -- and the Redding Elementary School PTA is promoting a supplies drive, to make sure students are ready.
"There are many families who need a little extra help this year, and your help is greatly appreciated," organizers note.
"With your help we can get students the basic supplies they need to start the school year off on a good note!"
Suggested items include
- pencils, erasers, colored pencils and pencil sharpeners
- pencil boxes or pouches
- black and red pens, markers, and highlighters
- crayons
- hard-cover composition books, spiral-bound notebooks and loose-leaf paper
- folders and binders
- backpacks
You can drop supplies off at Redding Elementary School, Redding Town Hall or Redding Social Services.
