Trumbull Man Busted For Illegal Tobacco Sales

TRUMBULL, Conn. — A Trumbull man arrested in a big tobacco bust was found with $53,000 in cash and about 500 cartons of cigarettes in his possession, according to the Trumbull Times.

Kalel Easa, 39, has been charged with possession or sale of untaxed cigarettes and tobacco products, and possession of fraudulent tax stamps after a three-month investigation, according to the Trumbull Times.

State Revenue Service Commissioner Kevin Sullivan said the bust is a warning to those who illegally sell untaxed tobacco products, according to the Trumbull Times.
