MONROE, Conn. — It was a bit of coincidence as Monroe first-responders headed early Thursday to Turkey Roost Road for a one-car crash.
The Monroe Volunteer Fire Department responded at 1 a.m. along with EMS and police officers, according to a Facebook post from the fire department.
One car had crashed into a pole on Turkey Roost Road. There were no injuries, but "there was significant arcing of the power lines" and a fluid spill to clean up after Eversource crews cut the power at the scene, the post said.
Units were on scene for over an hour.
