MONROE, Conn. – Firefighters were called to a Monroe residence Tuesday by the report of a leaking propane tank.
Firefighters stopped the leak quickly, preventing a fire in the property owner's outdoor grill and averting potential damage to the Fan Hill Road home.
Volunteers from the Stepney and Stevenson fire departments had been called to assist, but turned back after being told that the situation had been resolved.
