Monroe Firefighters Plug Propane Tank Leak, Prevent Fire

MONROE, Conn. – Firefighters were called to a Monroe residence Tuesday by the report of a leaking propane tank.

Monroe firefighters were able to halt a propane gas tank leak before it caused a fire at a home on Fan Hill Road Tuesday.

Firefighters stopped the leak quickly, preventing a fire in the property owner's outdoor grill and averting potential damage to the Fan Hill Road home.

Volunteers from the Stepney and Stevenson fire departments had been called to assist, but turned back after being told that the situation had been resolved.
