Man Arrested On Warrant For Almost Hitting Police Officer With Vehicle In Greenwich

A man was arrested at the Brooklyn courthouse in connection with a Fairfield County incident in which he almost hit a police officer.

Tramaine Kinard, 28, of Brooklyn, was arrest on Wednesday, Dec. 4, by Greenwich Police at the Kings County Supreme Court for an event that took place in October, said Greenwich Police.

During the incident, police were investigating a report of a suspicious person in the central Greenwich area when a vehicle allegedly driven by Kinard almost struck one of the officers and sped away, committing numerous traffic violations, police said.

An investigation was conducted and a warrant was issued.

Kinard was charged with criminal attempt at assault, interfering with an officer, traffic control signals, disobeying signal of an officer, reckless driving, and driving unreasonably fast.

He is being held on a $100,000 bond.
