A Brewster man has been identified by Danbury Police as the person shot and killed during an incident at a condo complex.

Jason James Lowry Hoffman, 33, was shot and killed early Wednesday, Aug. 4, at the Sterling Woods Condominium complex, in Danbury, Connecticut, said Danbury Police Det. Lt. Mark Williams.

According to Williams, several people have been interviewed, but the person responsible for the shooting has not been identified or charged.

Hoffman was shot once in the upper torso, Williams said. A pistol was recovered just feet away from the crime scene, which will be analyzed to determine if it is associated with this incident, he added.

"While there is limited information at this time, investigators know that Mr. Hoffman was visiting a friend in the complex when the incident occurred, Williams said.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Danbury Police Department TIPS line at 203-790-8477 or the Detective Bureau at 203-797-4662.
