Ex-Outback Steakhouse Worker Used Customer’s Credit Card To Shop At Target, Police Say

A former employee at an area Outback Steakhouse who was wanted for allegedly using a customer’s credit card information last year was taken into police custody this week.

West Haven resident Dialix Mejia, 27, was taken into police custody on Tuesday, Feb. 18, on a warrant for her arrest for credit card theft, the Milford Police Department announced.

It is alleged that Mejia took a customer’s credit card information while working at the Outback Steakhouse in Orange in December while she was an employee there. She then used that credit card information to make a purchase of more than $400 at Target on Boston Post Road.

Mejia was arrested and charged with sixth-degree larceny and credit card theft. She was processed, released and is scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday, March 17 to answer the charges.
