MONROE, Conn. — A 40-year-old man was arrested on burglary charges this week after police said he broke into his ex-wife's home in Monroe.
Police received a report of a possible burglary in progress at a home on Wheeler Road on Wednesday. They were told that the resident's ex-husband had broken in through a basement window, police said.
When officers arrived, they found the ex-husband, Paul Moretti, in an upstairs bedroom, according to police. Moretti was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. He was released on a $1,500 bond and went to court the next day.
