Car Vs. Motorcycle Accident Closes Route 25 In Monroe

MONROE, Conn. — Route 25 was closed north of Route 59 on Monday evening due to a motorcycle crash, the Monroe Police Department said via Facebook. 

"We are uncertain when it will be reopened," the post said. "Use Pepper Street as a detour."

The motorcycle rider was hit by a car and in serious condition, the Connecticut Post reported. The crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. near Clock Tower Square, the Post said.
