Kathryn J. Antrim, 88, Of Monroe

MONROE, Conn. – Kathryn J. Antrim, a longtime resident of Monroe, died Sunday, April 17 at Bishop Wicke Health Center in Shelton. She was 88.

Antrim was born Nov. 7, 1927, in Brooklyn, N.Y., to Walter and Elsie (nee Henn) Schmitt,

She was an active member of the Monroe Republican Party, counting votes on election day, was honored as Republican of the Year in 1995 and the party's Lifetime Achievement Award was named in her honor.

Antrim was predeceased by her parents; husband Louis; and grandson Brian Antrim Foiw.

She is survived by three children, Michael and his wife Peg, Patricia Antrim Gagner and her fiance Louis Couture, and Timothy and his wife Deborah; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Visiting hours are from 4-6 p.m. Thursday at the Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton, with a memorial service at 5 p.m.
