TRUMBULL, Conn. – Despite signs warning parents to keep their little ones in swim diapers, the occasional “accident” still happens at the town’s public pools, according to a report by The Trumbull Times.
And when potty mishaps occur, such as the one at the pool in the Robert G. Beach Memorial Park in late June, by law swimmers have to be sidelined while the filtration system runs through a full cycle, The Trumbull Times reported.
There are many brands of poop-proof swim gear for kids, including: Huggies' "Little Swimmers" and Pampers' "Splashers."
Swim diapers are sold at the pool and announcements are made regularly to remind parents to take their kids to the bathroom, The Trumbull Times report said.
One town councilman has suggested that lifeguards manning the pool’s main entrance, where IDs are checked, be tasked with making sure tots are wearing swim diapers, The Trumbull Times story said.
