EASTON, Conn. — An Easton teen will be among the featured performers at the 75th-anniversary celebration of The Klein Memorial Auditorium in Bridgeport.
Gianna Forte, 17, a senior at Joel Barlow High School, is a principal dancer with the New England Ballet Company of Bridgeport and, with fellow principal dancer Nicholas Franco, will perform the romantic balcony scene from “Romeo and Juliet.”
Paul Shaffer, bandleader from “The Late Show with David Letterman,” will host the Klein’s anniversary celebration, to be held Saturday, Nov. 14, at 8 p.m.
This celebration will feature performances that represent the best of the memorable history of musical, dance, and civic events during the Klein’s past 75 years. The finale will include all organizations coming together to perform a tribute to Bridgeport.
Forte and Franco will also be featured in the ballet’s 24th-annual “Nutcracker” performance at the Klein on Dec. 19 and 20.
