A report from Connecticut Magazine has cited three Fairfield Counties among the state’s top contenders for “best American food.”

Here are the Fairfield County establishments that made the cut:

  • The Cottage, Westport: Located at 256 Post Road E., The Cottage restaurant provides an elegant and upscale atmosphere to enjoy a variety of classic American dishes as well as other high-end cuisine options.
