In Stratford, all beaches will be closed for swimming until Friday after the area received more than two inches of rain within 24 hours. The closures come as part of the Stratford Water Pollution Control Authority rules.
All swimming areas in Fairfield will be closed, including the Lake Mohegan swimming area, until Thursday. All beaches in Stamford and Greenwich are also closed.
