Klein, an American journalist, columnist and author, turns 70 on Wednesday.
He was born Sept. 7, 1946, in New York City.
He is the political columnist for Time magazine and is best known for his novel “Primary Colors,” based on Bill Clinton's first presidential campaign.
In April 2006, Klein published “Politics Lost,” and has also written articles and book reviews for The New Republic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Life and Rolling Stone.
