Four Fighter Jets Put On Practice Show Over Fairfield County

Many Fairfield County residents were treated to a flyover by four F-15 Strike Eagle fighter jets.

The jets spent about 30 minutes practicing for a flyover of the Arthur Ashe Stadium for the U.S. Open finals in Queens on Sunday, Sept. 8.

The Darien Police Department posted a notice on its Facebook page so residents would know what all the racket was about during the 30 minutes or so.

They received a huge response from residents including from Erik Gómez, who said: "Wow very awesome and loud."

And resident Nancy Bennett Luther said: "Thanks for the info! We were getting tired of running outside every few minutes to see them go by."
