Former Stratford Town Councilwoman Elected Chairwoman of DTC

STRATFORD, Conn. -- A former Stratford town councilwoman has been elected to serve as the Democratic Town Committee's chairwoman, according to the Connecticut Post.

Stephanie Philips defeated Dick Brown, who earlier received support from a number of prominent town Democrats, including outgoing chairman Leonard Petruccelli and former chairman Richard Burturla, according to the Connecticut Post.

Philips received 51 votes to Brown's 42 votes, according to the Connecticut Post.
