Police are asking the public for help identifying a man wanted in connection with an alleged armed robbery at an area gas station.

The incident took place around 10:41 p.m., on Tuesday, May 28, when an unidentified black male, wearing a grey sweatsuit entered the Honeyspot Gulf Gas Station in Stratford and displayed a handgun, demanding money from the attendant, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.

A video of the robbery shows the man receives money from the clerk, who also threw items at the robber, and walks toward the door, before turning around and coming back and demanding more. The clerk throws more items and the man leaves.

The suspect ultimately fled the scene with approximately $50 dollars in cash, he said.

Eannotti said no one was injured during the robbery.

Anyone with information or knows the identity of the suspect, contact the Stratford Police Department at 203-385-4120.

Anyone with information is asked to call Stratford police at (203) 375-8477.
