Teens Harassing Residents, Blocking Traffic Caught After Fleeing From Scene, Stratford PD Says

Four people were arrested, including two juveniles, for allegedly loitering, harassing residents, and blocking traffic in Stratford.

The four, including, Andre Larson, 19, and Elijah Sampson, 20, both of Bridgeport were arrested on Friday, July 19, along with two local juveniles ages 14 and 15., said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.

The group was approached by an officer who was investigating a complaint of cyclists who have been loitering in and near Longbrook Park blocking traffic and harassing residents, Eannotti said.

As the officer approached, the group fled on their bikes. While fleeing, they rode through the park and splash pad area where small children were playing.

Officers apprehended the group a short time later, Eannotti said.

Lawson and Sampson were charged with disorderly conduct, interfering and violating town ordinance reckless or uncontrolled bicycle operation.

The two juveniles were also charged with disorderly conduct, interfering and violating town ordinance reckless or uncontrolled bicycle operation.
