Trevon Malik Avery, 18, was ordered on house arrest by a Superior Court judge on Friday, April 15, after he was charged with first-degree threatening, second-degree harassment and second-degree breach of peace, said the Connecticut Post.
The 17-year-old girl told police she had broken up with Avery and had refused to go to prom with him, shortly after she began receiving threatening text messages from him, police said. Police told the Connecticut Post that Avery is known to them and runs with a "rough crowd," added the Connecticut Post.
