Stratford Promotions, Awards Ceremony Honors Members Of Police Department

STRATFORD, Conn. -- The town of Stratford had a promotions and awards ceremony for members of the Stratford Police Department.

The following people received promotions and awards:

• Victor Velez and David Gugliotti were promoted to the rank of lieutenant. 
• Antonio Santos and Carlos Castro were promoted to the rank of sergeant. 
• Todd Moore was promoted to detective. 
• The Medal of Valor was presented to Officer Paul Giegengack. 
• Corporal Brian Norko and Arthur Gallant were presented with the Chief’s Award. 

Four recent retirees also were honored at the ceremony.
