STRATFORD, Conn. - A woman who crashed her car into a house on Cutspring Road in Stratford on Monday told police that an Uber driver had been at the wheel when the accident happened, according to the Connecticut Post.
Police told the Connecticut Post that Hallie Otero, 21, staggered from the front porch of the home she had rammed with her car, and told them an Uber driver had caused the accident. Officers were able to quickly determine there was no Uber driver and Otero was drunk, said the Connecticut Post.
She was charged with driving under the influence, failure to drive right, possession of marijuana and interfering with police, added the Connecticut Post.
