Police are searching for three armed men who invaded a home in the early morning hours and demanded money from the homeowner.

The incident took place around 4:15 a.m., Monday, May 13, on Light Street in Stratford, said Stratford Police Capt. Frank Eannotti.

According to police, it appears that three men entered the home and demanded money from the residents inside.

The suspects fled after one of the residents grabbed a knife held by one of the invaders, Eannotti said.

The victim’s hand was cut when he grabbed the blade. The injury is not considered life-threatening.

"It appears that the incident specifically targeted these residents and home and was not a random act," Eannotti said.

At this time the crime is under investigation and there is no further information was available.
