Police Charge Straford Men, Seize $1.5 Million In Drugs

STRAFORD, Conn. — Jafet Acevedo, 21, and Arturo Perez, 22, both of Stratford, Conn., were arrested Oct. 27 on charges of possessing an estimated $1.5 million worth of drugs following a vehicle stop near the Mills at Jersey Gardens shopping mall in Elizabeth, N.J., nj.com reports.

Aside from searching the 2004 Toyota Sienna, officers also searched the suspects' homes and seized $1.5 million street value in heroin and methamphetamine, and $40,000 in cash, the article says. Acevedo is held on $1 million bail; Perez on $500,000.
