STRATFORD, Conn. -- A Bridgeport man, Emmanual Andino, was charged with first degree larceny after police said he stole more than $66,000 from KLX Aerospace on Long Beach Boulevard in Stratford.
Andino, 34, lives on Hurd Avenue in Bridgeport.
Andino, who is an employee of the plant, which was closing in town, claimed the more than $66,000 in metals and batteries told police he stole from the company’s warehouse were part of his Christmas bonus.
Police said Andino later sold the stolen items to a scrap yard on Surf Avenue for $2,540.
He was charged with first-degree larceny and released after posting $5,000 bond.
