STRATFORD, Conn. -- The attorney representing the group that wants to rebuild the American Festival Shakespeare Theatre says he’s ready to sign a deal with Stratford if the Town Council approves the plan, according to the stratfordstar.com.
Attorney Barry Knott said last week the issues between the town and Stratford Stage Group LLC have been resolved, added the stratfordstar.com.
Knott said it would be a 10-year deal with four 10-year options that would also allow the company to build an inn on the property, said the stratfordstar.com.
A Town Council has tentatively scheduled a special meeting for Dec. 7 at 7 p.m., with the theater contract expected to be on the agenda, added the stratfordstar.com.
