STRATFORD, Conn. – Stratford Mayor John Harkins has announced his plan to cut the town's $5.4 million deficit in the 2015-16 budget, according to the Stratford Star.
Harkins' plan includes two furlough days for non-union town employees and reducing the town's medical and worker's compensation fund, the Stratford Star noted.
The plan also includes conditional hiring freezes and discretionary spending, reported the Stratford Star.
