"There was a substandard home on the property when Habitat for Humanity acquired it from Bank of America," said Stuart Adelberg, CEO of Habitat CFC.
"We are grateful for the donation as we will be able to use the land to custom-build an accessible Habitat home for the Morales family, whose daughter is in a wheelchair. This is a win for the neighborhood and certainly a dream come true for this deserving local family."
Bank of America will continue its volunteer build days with Habitat, to see the Evelyn Street property to completion.

Habitat CFC builds communities and improves lives by eliminating substandard housing and creating homeownership possibilities for low-income families. Habitat CFC has been at work for 30 years. Habitat CFC transforms abandoned properties into homes for tax-paying, law-abiding, contributing community members. Since 1985, Habitat CFC broken ground on over 200 homes and has helped nearly 1,000 family members in Fairfield County.
