"There was a substandard home on the property when Habitat for Humanity acquired it from Bank of America," said Stuart Adelberg, CEO of Habitat CFC.

"We are grateful for the donation as we will be able to use the land to custom-build an accessible Habitat home for the Morales family, whose daughter is in a wheelchair. This is a win for the neighborhood and certainly a dream come true for this deserving local family."

Bank of America will continue its volunteer build days with Habitat, to see the Evelyn Street property to completion.

"Access to stable, affordable housing is foundational to long-term financial stability and growth," said Bill Tommins, Bank of America Southern Connecticut Market President. "With this particular donation, Habitat for Humanity will be providing an accessible home for a local family who needs it."
