Stratford, Conn. -- Stratford Mayor John Harkins will address the business community during a lunch program on Tuesday, March 22. The event is hosted by the Stratford Chamber of Commerce and the Stratford Rotary.

Harkins was sworn in as Stratford's second mayor in December 2009. He was a lifelong resident of Stratford. He'd been elected to town council in 1995. A year later, he was elected to the Connecticut House of Representatives from the 120th District. He then served seven consecutive terms.

The cost is $15 for members and $30 for non-members; add $5 for walk-ins. The luncheon will run from from noon to 1:30 p.m. at the Oronoque Country Club, at 385 Oronoque Lane, in Stratford.
