Storm System Will Bring Heavy Rain, Gusty Winds, Small Hail To Region

The arrival of a warm front will be accompanied by scattered thunderstorms that will bring locally heavy rain, gusty winds, small hail, according to the National Weather Service.

The time frame for storm activity on Sunday, June 12 is from the mid-afternoon into the evening.

Sunday will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers throughout the day and a high temperature in the low 70s.

Showers will become widespread in the afternoon and evening, accompanied by scattered storms. 

Areas where there are locally heavy storms could see flooding.

A total of about a half-inch of rainfall is possible from the system.

There will be a chance of morning showers and more scattered storms after daybreak on Monday, June 13, but the passage of another front should bring a return of dry and warmer conditions, lasting into midweek.

It will gradually become mostly sunny and warmer Monday with a high temperature in the low 80s. 

Tuesday, June 14 will be partly cloudy with a high temperature in the low 80s.

Look for mostly sunny skies again on Wednesday, June 15 with a high temperature around 80 degrees.
