Van Rollover Blocks Atlantic Street & North State In Stamford

STAMFORD, Conn. — Atlantic Street and North State Street in downtown Stamford will be closed traffic until further notice due to a motor vehicle accident late Thursday morning, Stamford police said.

Several police units are on the scene of the crash under the I-95 bridge. 

A commercial van flipped onto its side on the southbound lanes of Atlantic Street heading toward Harbor Point. The roads are wet in the area but it was not raining at the time of the 11:10 a.m. crash.

An ambulance was on scene but left, and a tow truck and fire truck also turned out. It was not clear whether there were any injuries.

It was not known when the busy roadways would reopen.
