Multi-Agency Probe Results In Seizure Of AR-15 Variants, Other Weapons, CT State Police Say
Connecticut State Police, along with multiple police agencies, seized numerous handguns and assault rifles illegally sold as part of an investigation into gun trafficking.
According to police, officers served warrants on Tuesday, March 22, in New Haven County in Waterbury and Wolcott, and Fairfield County in Shelton.
During the searches, police seized AR-15 rifles, handguns, high-capacity magazines, and ammunition, as well as a number of narcotics and other contraband, state police said.

A Connecticut man faces 10 years to life in prison after pleading guilty to child exploitation offenses related to his attempt to engage in sex with a minor.
Hartford County resident Robert Marlin Sellers, age 61, of Bristol, pleaded guilty on Monday, Feb. 14 after being caught in an FBI sting operation, said Leonard C Boyle, US Attorney for the District of Connecticut.
According to court documents and statements made in court, in 2020, law enforcement officials received information that Sellers was sharing videos of child sex abuse on a website that focused on incest.

CT Teens Fleeing Liquor Store Theft Crash Into Home, Cars, Police Say
Two Connecticut teens were charged after they allegedly stole from a liquor store and then crashed into two vehicles and a mobile home while attempting to escape police capture.
The incident took place in Hartford County around noon, Monday, Jan. 17, in Southington.
Officers responded to a call from Queen Street Liquors at 1079 Queen St. on a report of a theft from the package store.

On Wednesday, Dec. 15, New Haven County resident Vanessa Christopher, of Ansonia, cashed in a winning $100,000 "Winter Ice Multiplier" scratch-off ticket that was sold at the Branford Quick Mart on East Main Street.
