Stamford Teen Seriously Injured After BMW Slams Into Scooter: Police

A Connecticut teen was hospitalized after a BMW struck him on Thursday night, May 29.

The teen was riding a scooter in the 100 block of Hope Street in Stamford just before 11 p.m. when a BMW crashed into him, destroying the scooter and throwing the rider to the ground, police said.

The teen suffered serious but non-life-threatening injuries in the crash. He was transported to a local hospital, where he remained as of Friday morning, Stamford police said.

The 46-year-old driver from Stamford spoke with police, who are continuing to investigate the incident.

No charges had been filed as of Friday.
