Joan M. Cypher, 71, Of Tarrytown
TARRYTOWN, N.Y. – Joan M. Cypher, of Tarrytown, died on Saturday, July 18. She was 71.
Cypher was born in Tarrytown on April 24, 1944, to Kenneth and Ruth Mowatt Covert.
She graduated from Ossining High School in 1962.
She worked for The Citizen Register newspaper. the Rockefeller Family public relations office in White Plains, Technicon Instruments Corporation, and many advertising agencies.
Cypher is survived by two children, John L. Cypher of Ulster Park, and Nicole Dawson of Berkeley Heights, N.J.; grandchildren Nia and Julian Dawson; and a brother James Covert.

PUTNAM, N.Y. – The annual Putnam County Food & Wine Fest is set for the weekend of Aug. 8 and 9 at Beaver Creek Farm in Patterson.
The 15th annual event highlights local wineries, distilleries, farm market and specialty foods, food trucks, arts and crafts, and special exhibitors.

Mary Allen McAden, 78, Of Larchmont
LARCHMONT, N.Y. – Mary Allen McAden, a longtime resident of Larchmont, died on Wednesday, July 22. She was 78.
McAden was born in White Plains to Mary Allen Dunbar and Stuart Edwin Langdoc, settling in Loveland, Ohio.
She graduated from Miami University in Ohio. She taught high school English in Ohio and in Mount Vernon High School.

NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. – Raymond P. Cott, of New Rochelle, died on Saturday, July 25 at Sutton Park. He was 84.
Cott was born on Oct. 1, 1930 in Metz, France.
He is survived by his wife, Kerstin; children Giselle, Nicole, Danielle, Jean-Paul and Pierre and grandsons Elijah, Sean, Jacob, and Nathaniel.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Marie A. Bacon, of Bridgeport, died on Monday, July 27, at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was 72.
Bacon was born on Jan. 4, 1943. to Roger and Marie Vaillancourt.

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. – Yvonne Mayes, of Bridgeport and formerly of Shelton, died on Friday, July 24, at Retreat Hospital in Richmond, Va. She was 76.
She was born in Warsaw, N.C. to Emma Miller-Moore and Nathan Moore, moving to Bridgeport and graduating from Central High School in 1957. She worked for the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) of Ansonia.

CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Daniel Thomas Cotter, a longtime resident of Croton-on-Hudson, died on Tuesday, July 28. He was 59.
Cotter was born on Oct. 8, 1955, to William F. and Jane (Hartman) Cotter.
He graduated from the Croton-Harmon School District, working for the New York Police Department as a community affairs officer in the 45th Precinct.

Anne M. Baumeister, 93, Of Yonkers
YONKERS, N.Y. – Anne M. Baumeister, of Yonkers, died on Thursday, July 23, at Westchester Medical Center. She was 93.
Baumeister was born on Feb. 25, 1922, to Joseph and Loretta LoRicco of Yonkers. She worked as a glove maker and making transistors before retiring to New Port Richey, Fla.
Baumeister was predeceased by her husband, Edward, and four siblings, Salvatore LoRicco, Grace Ruyack, Joan Rubeo, and Pat Colucci.
She is survived by 17 nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at the Monastery Church of the Sacred Heart in Yonkers on Aug. 29 at 11 a.m.
