Stamford Student Graduates From University Of Scranton

STAMFORD, Conn. - Stamford’s Timothy S. Lincoln was among nearly 900 bachelor's and associate degree recipients who graduated at the University of Scranton's undergraduate commencement on June 1 at the Mohegan Sun Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.

Lincoln earned a bachelor of science in exercise science from The University of Scranton.

Graduates of the Jesuit university included three recipients of prestigious Fulbright scholarships for the 2014-15 academic year.

The Most Rev. Joseph C. Bambera, bishop of the Diocese of Scranton, served as the principal speaker and received an honorary degree at the ceremony.

It was the university's celebration of the 125th year of its founding by Most Rev. William O'Hara, the first bishop of the Diocese of Scranton.

Members of The University of Scranton's class of 2014 represent 13 states, including Connecticut, Florida, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Virginia. Undergraduate majors with the most graduates in 2014 are nursing, biology, counseling and human services, exercise science, accounting and psychology.
