STAMFORD, Conn. -- The Beacon School, an accredited, coed, independent school for intellectually curious learners in grades 3-12, will be hosting an Admissions Open House event on Sunday, Nov. 8, from 1 to 3 p.m.
At Beacon, each student is encouraged to be themselves, celebrate strengths, experience challenge, and pursue passions with the support of knowledgeable teachers and an intimate cohort. Beacon’s 3:1 student-teacher ratio and individualized approach create a “no back of the classroom” atmosphere in which each student is an engaged partner in learning.
The hallmarks of a Beacon student are a desire for intellectual inquiry and academic achievement, a strong sense of compassion, and the drive to direct one’s own learning. This unique approach to education has defined the idea of “perfect fit” for many students who come to Beacon.
The Beacon School's new location is The Hubbard Mansion campus, formerly Mother of God Academy, which opened in 1944. The campus includes dormitory housing and a separate building for the Lower School. Beacon currently has 35 students and is planning to expand to 50 students for the 2016-2017 school year.
The Admissions Open House will include a tour of the main building, the Lower School Annex, and the grounds, as well as an information session for prospective parents interested in learning more about Beacon. For more information on Beacon School, contact Meredith Hafer, the Head of School, at 203-200-7244 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
