20 Fairfield County Students Perform Alongside Broadway Talent

A total of 20 students from Fairfield County are scheduled to perform with Broadway talent in the Broadway Method Academy’s production of Annie.

The shows are scheduled at Westport Country Playhouse (25 Powers Court) Friday, Feb. 8 through Sunday, Feb. 10 and Friday, Feb. 15 through Sunday, Feb. 17.

"Our Broadway Method Academy students, once again, have the unique opportunity to play alongside some of the brightest talent New York City has to offer,” said Director Connor Deane. “This family show is filled with heart and will be enjoyed by audiences of all ages.”

Students from Brookfield, Easton, Newtown, Milford, Norwalk, Southport, Stratford, Trumbull and Westport are also involved in the production.

The Fairfield County students participating include Maddy Alecia, Annika Carlson, Brynn Ellingson, Ryanne Forrest, Kyle Geriak, Annika Jonker, Emily Joyce, Olivia Kwok, Mariam Mamadashvili, Kai Marrelli, Colleen McCurley, Emerson Raymond, Serena Remmes, Elizabeth (Lizzie) Richards, Kaitlyn Richards, Betsy Ronning, Bailey Schumacher, Plum Sonnenfeld, Robin Title and Julia Vitale. 

Other cast members include Klea Blackhurst as Miss Hannigan, Paul Schoeffler as Oliver Warbucks, Lauren Sprague as Grace Farrell, Nicholas Rodriguez as Rooster Hannigan, Julie Kavanagh as Lily St. Regis and Dan Remmes as FDR. The title role of Annie will be played by Ava Lynn Vercellone, and Sunny, courtesy of William Berlin Theatrical Animals, Inc., will be reprising her role as Annie's loyal canine companion.
