Woman Charged With Attacking Security Guards At Stamford Town Center

STAMFORD, Conn. -- A 26-year-old Bridgeport woman was arrested for assaulting three security guards Thursday after, police said, she was caught shoplifting from Victoria’s Secret in the Stamford Town Center mall, according to the Stamford Advocate.

According to police, Alexandra Mayans, of Trumbull Avenue, was spotted placing clothing inside a foil-lined carrier before leaving the store without paying, reported the Stamford Advocate. When a security guard stopped Mayans, she began yelling loudly at him, according to the Stamford Advocate. Two other security guards then tried to intervene when she began punching and kicking all three of the guards, said the Stamford Advocate.
